SALT, is an  online community of women  “of a certain age.” I explore timely topics facing those 55+ from a Christian, faith-based perspective and welcome your perspectives and ideas. If you  see a film,  read an article or book, find encouragement in an appropriate Scripture, discover an online link, or want to propose a new idea,  I will consider your viewpoints for inclusion on the site. Simply use the comment feature found with each posting.

The Rules Here

More About Alice

Although I write in many forms, I am first of all a poet. My job is to see the wonder of something newly made from old patterns. Letters become words; words become lines and form into poems.

A self-professed late bloomer, I  obtained a bachelor’s degree from Rockmont College and a master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. I wandered through a library career—the solitude of cataloging, the austere aisles of a research library, and a boisterous children’s library.

I taught research, composition, literature, and Intensive English to college and university students throughout Colorado. Currently I dabble in tutoring international students, and heeding the ‘call of stories,’ I write.  New projects include a recently published children’s novel, and a collection of short fiction is in progress.
